Sparkys E6B Lite Overview
Sparky's E6B Lite is a free iPhone application developed by Intineo LLC, designed to emulate a mechanical E6B Flight Computer. This app serves as a tool for performing aviation calculations and offers a platform for users to practice and learn the functionalities of a mechanical E6B.
Invented in the 1930s by Lt. Philip Dalton, USN, the E6B serves both training and flight calculation purposes. The app's "slide rule" or "front" side features a circular log-log scale for multiplication, division, fuel consumption, and time/speed/distance calculations. Additionally, it provides various conversions like nautical-miles/statute-miles/kilometers and fuel/oil volume and weight.
